TLC Woodcrafts, formerly L & T Precision Woodcraft, is a small business owned and operated by Artist Mike Templeton and Christie L. Carlson. It all began when Mike and a couple of his friends wanted to venture away from “corporate” jobs so they kicked around ideas for imaginative, unique wood creations. With an innate desire to exercise their creative muscles, and drawn to the organic and warm character of wood, Mike Templeton and Christie Carlson now craft and wholesale their designs to select retailers. Oregon natives and environmentally sensitive Mike and Christie are committed to creating unique gift items, souvenirs, and home
accessories by using local, sustainable woods for nearly all of their creations. CUSTOM LASERING AVAILABLE!
The varying grains and colors of all the woods used by TLC means that no two pieces are exactly alike, a feature they like to call
"NATURE'S FINGERPRINT"
Mike Templeton’s Artistic history included work with metals, woods, paints, plasters and pencils.
He repeatedly found himself returning to wood, where he now finds his creative “home”.
The auspicious response to Mike’s inventive designs has
been remarkable and more are coming!
At this time TLC Woodcrafts offers
Christmas Ornaments
Serving/Cutting Boards
Oregon shaped Picture Frames
Myrtle Wood Keepsake Boxes and
Myrtle Wood Magnet.
Each piece is individually cut, sanded, and hand finished leaving the natural character of the wood intact whenever possible.
Myrtle Wood, Maple, Walnut, Madrone, and Albus are currently used. Myrtle Wood, in particular, is an extraordinary Oregon treasure and used in many TLC designs. The color of Myrtle Wood is often influenced by the minerals in the
soil where it grows which could be a factor in its popularity. The colors range from blond to black with many shades of honey, browns,
satiny grays, with reds and greens in between.
New creations are imagined more rapidly than they can be produced and are on the horizon.
We would love to hear YOUR IDEAS!
